Look Good … Feel Better is a free national community service program, supported by the Cosmetics Industry, which is dedicated to teaching cancer patients make-up, beauty and grooming techniques to help restore their beautiful appearance – and self confidence – while undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Look Good … Feel Better workshops are available at cancer centres, hospitals, Australian Cancer Society Regional Offices and other community settings in every state and territory of Australia and expect to give a little bit of beauty and glamour back to over 7000 cancer patients whose treatment causes appearance related side effects in 2008. All workshop participants receive practical and patient instruction by experienced beauty professionals who donate their time to run the program and take home a make-up and skin care kit donated by the Cosmetic Industry.
